Mango Basil Chutney

Ingredients

3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

1 tablespoon minced ginger

1 tablespoon cider vinegar

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1/4 teaspoon Five-Spice Blend, recipe follows

1 small red chili, minced

1 mango, peeled and pit removed

Juice of 1/2 lime

A pinch salt

A pinch sugar

Directions

  1. Put the basil, ginger, vinegar, cardamom, Five-Spice Blend, chili, mango, lime juice, salt and sugar in a blender and pulse until smooth. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until serving.
