Pumpkin Spice Latte Base

This Pumpkin Spice Latte Base will help you add flavor to other foods! Add as much as you need to achieve the level of flavor you desire. We used it in hot chocolate, whipped cream and oatmeal, but feel free to get creative!

Ingredients

One 15-ounce can pumpkin puree

1/2 cup packed brown sugar 

2 tablespoons espresso powder 

2 tablespoons maple syrup 

2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice 

1 teaspoon vanilla 

Pinch kosher salt 

Directions

  1. Combine the pumpkin, brown sugar, espresso powder, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and salt in a mixing bowl and mix until completely combined. Transfer to a resealable container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  2. Add to taste to hot chocolate, whipped cream, oatmeal or milkshakes.

It’s too much espresso powder for my taste. The next time I make this I’m going to try one tablespoon of espresso powder or eliminate it all together .
