Ingredients

Berry Simple Syrup:

1 cup blackberries

1 cup raspberries

1/2 cup granulated sugar

Lime Berry Soda:

8 ounces lime flavored sparkling water

Lime wedge and fresh mint sprig, for garnish

Directions

  1. For the simple syrup: Add the berries, sugar and 1/2 cup water to a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the berries have released their juices and the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the liquid into a jar. Cool to room temperature before using.
  2. For the lime berry soda: Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice. Top with 1 ounce berry syrup and the sparkling water (save the remaining berry syrup for another use). Stir to combine. Garnish with the lime wedge and mint sprig.

Made this for 4th of July and is was delicious! Used strawberries and blueberries for the syrup (pretty sure any combo of berries will work). So easy to make and the drink was refreshing and looked beautiful.
