Though it isn't much to look at, Side Street Inn is a favorite of in-the-know Hawaiians who love teh large, shareable plates of island comfort-food and icy beer. The award-winning fried rice here is one of the best, with generous flecks of char siu, Portuguese sausage, bacon, peas, carrots and onions. For just $3 more, though, you might as well order The Side Street Works version, which comes with lup cheong and kimchi for added flavor and spice.
Special Dishes: Steamed Clams, Hawaiian-Style Short Ribs, Fried Rice
