This two-story fixture is located in what was originally the loading dock to the old Minneapolis Cedar Lake Ice & Fuel Co., where more than 75,000 tons of ice were harvested each year and shipped as far away as St. Louis. The building has had many iterations since then, including the current restaurant, bar and live music venue. Thanks to a never-ending rotation of local artists and bands, the Icehouse is firmly cemented as a late-night destination for Minneapolitans, but the weekend brunch offerings should not be overlooked.
