Cheesecake isn’t the only famous cake New York has to offer. In the 20th century, the Brooklyn Blackout Cake from Ebinger’s Bakery was a beloved staple, until the sweets shop went bankrupt in 1972. Luckily, the decadent dessert was resurrected by Little Cupcake Bakeshop when it opened in Brooklyn in 2005.
