Jessica Roy (aka JRoy) applies her fun flair to the art of cooking as owner of Shiso Kitchen, a teaching and demonstration kitchen, in Somerville, Massachusetts. East literally meets West in Jess: She’s a sushi chef who also taught the French culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu Boston. Jess has been featured on Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen and is the host of a new digital original series, Cooking Cheat Sheet. Back in Boston, you can find her entertaining guests nightly with cooking classes, demonstrations and private events at Shiso Kitchen. When she’s not in the kitchen, Jess is an avid outdoor sportswoman, adventurer and lover of all things having to do with food, wine and travel. She considers herself the "Adventure Chef," always hungry for a little taste of adrenaline. No stranger to life on an airplane, Jess has a permanent carry-on bag packed and ready for any spur-of-the-moment culinary adventures.
