Damaris Phillips Bio
Kentucky native Damaris Phillips was the winner of Food Network Star Season 9 and, as part of her win, was given her own show on Food Network, Southern at Heart. The show ran for five seasons. Damaris also co-hosted The Bobby and Damaris Show with her Food Network Star mentor Bobby Flay as well as the series Southern and Hungry, which premiered in 2017 on the Cooking Channel. Damaris has continued to be a Food Network favorite, appearing and competing in shows including Guy's Grocery Games, Tournament of Champions: All-Star Christmas (where she paired up with fellow Kentucky native Sara Bradley) and Beat Bobby Flay (she won with her tuna casserole recipe).
Damaris is the co-founder of Bluegrass Supper Club, a catering company that showcases Kentucky’s farmers and food traditions. She is the author of two cookbooks: Southern Girl Meets Vegetarian Boy: Down Home Classics for Vegetarians (and the Meat Eaters Who Love Them) and the upcoming New Fashioned: Modern Twists on 100+ Southern Dishes, releasing in May 2027.
