Some celebrities make a point of not disclosing any detail about their kids’ lives to their fans. Not Chrissy Teigen. An unrepentant sharer of her adorable family’s day-to-day life (and occasionally her own blush-worthy grooming habits), she recently revealed that her 2-year-old daughter, Luna, can pack away some serious ribbage.
Speaking about her new cookbook, “Cravings: Hungry for More,” with the online interview series BUILD, the supermodel/kitchen guru said Luna’s favorite recipe in the book is Thai Fried Ribs, a recipe Teigen says is so easy to make (it’s just ribs, soy sauce, garlic, pepper and oil) that she almost declined to include it in the book.
“She can put down like seven to 10 [of them]… It was shocking how many she could put down,” Teigen said of Luna. “I’m very proud of her.”
Teigen’s husband, recent EGOT-winner and pancake maker John Legend, meanwhile is more into some of the healthier recipes in “Cravings,” Teigen’s second cookbook, in which she said she tried to lighten things up a bit and rely a bit less on cheese and ham.
But while he favors recipes like Mediterranean couscous and spice-rubbed chicken breasts and she’s more into stuff like “bagel cream cheese breakfast bake,” she says, they are both trying to eat a bit more mindfully.
“I think we’re both finding, as we grow older, things aren’t – pounds just aren’t shedding like they used to,” Teigen admits.
I guess packing away fried ribs without fear of the consequences is a privilege of the young. Like … toddler young.
