Prince William and Kate Middleton Just Made All Of Our Holiday Dreams Come True
This holiday season just got a lot more merry.
If you love following along with the royal family and you're a fan of dessert, get excited about the latest news from Kensington Palace.
Earlier this week, Prince William and Duchess Catherine (aka Kate Middleton), announced on the Kensington Palace Instagram page that they will star in a made-for-TV holiday baking special along with former judge of "The Great British Bake Off", Mary Berry.
During BBC's "A Berry Royal Christmas", which will air on December 16, Kate and William will join Berry to, "prepare festive food for a very royal event to thank all those working and volunteering over the Christmas period," according to the Instagram post. The organizations they will work with focus on issues including early childhood education, healthy eating, homelessness and addiction.
Duchess Catherine has shared in the past that she loves to cook with her children, so she might be primed to help out in the kitchen on this television special (though, Prince William once joked that Kate’s cooking is the reason he’s “so skinny,”). This isn't the royal couple's first encounter with the GBBO host, though. "Prince William said Kate used my recipes," Berry said in a 2013 magazine article about when she first met the couple. "They were big fans at a charity auction. During the same conversation, Prince William asked Berry if she knew how to make “chocolate brownies.” So, maybe we can look forward to a Yule spin on brownies making it to the menu!
