Holiday baking can be a challenge, so sometimes you need something quick, simple and great for the kids. Dip pretzel rods or mini sticks in melted semisweet chocolate, then sprinkle with chopped peppermint candies for a wintry touch. Don’t want to use peppermint candies? No problem. Sprinkles or any other festive edible garnish will work.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring, until melted and smooth. Pour the chocolate into a mug; let cool briefly until slightly thickened.
Dip the pretzels in the chocolate, then transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with the peppermints and let set.
Cook’s Note
To make an elf-size version: Dip mini pretzel sticks in the melted chocolate and coat with peppermints.
