The blended root beer float is a summer favorite in Oklahoma. Ree has taken things up a notch with alcoholic root beer to make an irresistibly indulgent frozen cocktail.
Chill two 16-ounce glasses in the freezer for 30 minutes or so.
To a blender, add the ice cream and alcoholic root beer. Blend until thoroughly incorporated, 15 to 30 seconds.
Pour into chilled glasses and top with whipped cream, malted milk balls and caramel sauce.
Caramel Sauce:
Add the sugar, butter, heavy cream, vanilla and salt to a saucepan over medium heat. Cook over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until it thickens and turns into a delicious sauce, 5 minutes.
