I love the time I spend in Florida, and drinking near the ocean. One of my favorite cocktails is a pisco sour, which normally has lemon juice, but substituting Key lime adds an amazing sweet and sour flavor to this traditional cocktail.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Make the simple syrup: Combine the sugar with 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring if necessary to dissolve the sugar. Turn off the heat and let cool completely.
  2. Add the pisco, 1 ounce simple syrup, Key lime juice and egg white to a cocktail shaker. Add ice to fill and shake. Strain into a glass and garnish with the fresh lime zest. (Save the remaining simple syrup for another use.)
