Sarah explains each type of beer provides a different flavor profile due to the type of yeast used and the brewing temperature. For this recipe, Sarah uses a lager (which is brewed at a colder temperature) for a crisp, grain-like flavor as opposed to the "fruity" flavors of an ale (brewed at a warmer temperature).
