The Chopped judges always have an opinion on what the competitors make with the mystery basket ingredients, but how would they do when challenged in their very own kitchens? We're about to find out! First up: chef Marc Murphy.
Scroll down to find out what Marc came up with and who he challenged next!
Marc Murphy's Pan Roasted Squab
Marc was the first to kick off the challenge when his kids Campbell and Callen put together his mystery basket. What was inside? Squab, dill pickles, harissa and Baked Cheetos. With 30 minutes on the clock, Marc whipped up a Pan Roasted Squab with Cheese Puff Seasoned Potato Hash.
Amanda Freitag's Tortilla Crusted Tuna Cakes
Challenged by her fellow judge Marc, Amanda Freitag had her nieces pick out the ingredients for her #ChoppedChallenge mystery basket. With tuna, eggs, clementines, and hint of lime tortilla chips, Amanda whipped up a Tortilla Crusted Tuna Cake with Spicy Clementine Sour Cream and Avocado in just 20 minutes.
Scott Conant's Fried Chicken Sandwich
Also challenged by Marc Murphy, Scott Conant had his daughters create his mystery basket which included, of course, a red onion. Also in the basket: chicken thighs, strawberries and corn flakes. In 30 minutes, Scott made a Fried Chicken Sandwich with Pickled Strawberries & Red Onion Slaw.
Alex Guarnaschelli's Chicken Livers with Tomato Jam
Alex Guarnaschelli was next to take on the #ChoppedChallenge with a basket made up of chicken livers, herbed panko breadcrumbs, cashew queso and unripe tomatoes. What did ICAG come up with? Chicken Livers with Tomato Jam & Cashew Queso Vinaigrette.
