This diner has been serving Dagwoods (its signature French-style burger) with root beer floats since first opening as a carhop in 1948. The Sycamore’s homemade root beer is crafted using a secret family recipe that has been passed down from its original owners. Served ice cold in a frozen glass mug, the soda is even better with a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect throwback root beer float — an ideal accompaniment for a Dagwood.
