If you’ve ever gotten tipsy with your great-aunt, you’ll dig the spirit of the Zetter Townhouse’s Clerkenwell bar, inspired as it is by a fictional Aunt Wilhelmina. Tony Conigliaro’s cocktail menu raises a crystal glass to Clerkenwell’s boozy past. Acknowledging the area’s raffish Victorian distillery days, libations are pepped up with fin de siècle flourishes such as absinthe, Byrrh and nettle cordial. Peckish? Order bar snacks courtesy of Bruno Loubet, who mans the kitchens in the Zetter Hotel.
