“When you walk into The Greek, you feel like you’ve been transported to Athens,” says Bobby Flay of this New York gastropub. He heads here for authentic dishes that sing with the flavors of Greece. Bounty of both land and sea are represented with favorites that include the paidakia (lamb chops) and garides saganaki (shrimp). A marinade made of rosemary, garlic, thyme, anchovies and lemon zest add extra flavor to the tangy lamb chops, which are grilled until a beautiful char forms, then served with a green bean stew and grilled potatoes. Don’t sleep on the shrimp, either. The succulent seafood is combined with vegetables and cheese, flambeed with ouzo and then broiled to ensure the flavors meld together fully.

Special Dishes: Grilled Lamb Chops, Shrimp
