Need a break from the high energy of The Strip? Venture over to the Hookah Lounge to unplug and chill out in a Moroccan-inspired oasis. Order a hookah blend for the Turkish flavored tobacco pipes or savor a custom cocktail like their ginger, mango, coconut and rum-based Babylon Spice.

Rachael went on a thrilling ride on the X-Scream at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower, which left her screaming. When the ride ends there is plenty to eat at Stratosphere's Top of the World restaurant, Level 107 Lounge, Sandwich Carvery 108 and Tower Pizzeria.

A favorite of Santa Fe, N.M., locals since 1953, The Shed serves up classic New Mexican cuisine in a family-friendly atmosphere. Try an order of enchiladas or the salmon salad for dinner and make sure to save room for their housemade desserts. Rachael called their fresh lemon souffle "heaven."

Located just off the Las Vegas strip, Bahama Breeze is a tropical-themed oasis that serves up affordable meals in huge portions. Check out the nightly entertainment, creative cocktails and late-night specials. Rachael recommends trying a mojito and the "absolutely fantastic" Seafood Paella.

A family-friendly restaurant that's been serving local favorites on Cape Cod, Mass., for 30 years, Captain Parker's is known for its award-winning New England clam chowder. Try a bowl, which Rachael calls "a sure thing," as you take in the eclectic decor, from a golf ball wall to the trophy display.

Giacomo's Ristorante has a line seven days a week but Rachael promises it is worth the wait at this tiny restaurant where they do not take reservations or credit cards. Their traditional Italian food is fresh and flavorful; Rachael praises the pumpkin ravioli, calling it ''heaven on a plate.''

Carol Ann's Bake Shop is located in Faneuil Hall. Visiting on $40 a Day, Rachael enjoyed a signature New England flavor, cranberry, in a muffin. All the pastries are baked daily onsite so ''they come straight out of the oven to the counter.''

Just steps away from the marina, locals and tourists alike head to the "Cadillac of local fish shacks" for fried fish, chicken wings and freshly shucked oysters at the raw bar. Rachael tried the beer-battered soft shell crab sandwich, which she described as "super crispy" and "insanely good."

One of the most respected restaurants on Cape Cod, Mass., the Roadhouse Cafe is known for its elegant clientele and traditional, American meals. Stop by for their early bird specials from 4 to 6 pm, listen to live music and try the puttanesca, which Rachael says "tastes just like my grandpa's."

Kelly's Roast Beef claims responsibility for the original roast beef sandwich. Other popular items at this local seaside favorite include fried clams, fish and chips, and lobster rolls. Once Rachael tasted the clam roll, she agreed it is ''a real contender'' for the very best clams in New England.

With a large selection of beer from both big-name brands and microbrewers, Grendel's Den is a great place to grab a beer. This ''cozy basement bar and restaurant'' serves the Cambridge community fresh food from original recipes at a bargain. Rachael loved drinking like a local at this popular pub.

Famous for its less-than-stellar service but outstanding food, Jack's Outback is a staple for breakfast on Cape Cod, Mass. You have to take your own order and wipe down your table, but locals keep coming back for popovers, omelets and French toast that Rachael said is "like dessert for breakfast."
