Shereen Pavlides' Green Bean Casserole From Scratch
Green bean casserole at its finest.
Shereen Pavlides is the face of Cooking with Shereen (@cookingwithshereen) and author of two cookbooks. She's making everyone's favorite: green bean casserole, which she makes completely from scratch and tops with crispy fried onions. "Don’t freak out about the amount of salt when preparing the green beans," she says. "It flavors the beans to their core — they won’t be too salty. But I will warn you, they’re addictive!" Seriously, you're going to love these green beans. "I eat 'em one by one like French fries. So good!" Shereen says.
Gideon General's Honey-Garlic Ham
The glaze for this ooh-and-awe-eliciting ham was originally intended for chicken tenders, and now we're trying to think of a million other uses for this delicious, sweet-and-savory glaze.
There's nothing like the sight of a towering spiral ham fresh out of the oven during the holidays, and Gideon General (@gidsgids)'s Honey-Garlic Ham is one for the ages. With a glaze made from pineapple juice, brown sugar and honey for perfect caramelization plus savory soy sauce and black pepper, you'll want to make this one year-round. He says he originally conceptualized the glaze recipe (in his car, by the way!) for chicken tenders before it dawned on him it would make a great ham recipe: "So I gave it a try, and it quickly became a holiday staple." "The glaze is sticky, buttery, sweet and salty, with loads of garlic and just enough heat," says Gideon. "It’s everything you want in a holiday ham — and, honestly, pure perfection."
Jose Xiloj's French Onion Mashed Potatoes
You'll want to be first in line for this mashup.
Jose Xiloj, known as Jose El Cook (@jose.elcook) by his fans and followers, is on potato duty this year. For a savory side, he mashed up (get it!) two favorites: mashed potatoes and French onion soup. Yes, that's right — his French Onion Mashed Potatoes feature a decadent, velvety pool of caramelized onions in gravy, topped with fresh chives. "It’s a perfectly accessible, upscale classic," he says. WATCH THE VIDEO
Jose Xiloj's Crème Brûlée Sweet Potatoes
If you've been waiting for your moment to use that fancy new kitchen torch, this is your chance.
Next up, Jose is taking sweet potato casserole to elegant new heights with his Crème Brûlée Sweet Potatoes. "This creates a beautiful contrast in textures that complement each other and looks visually stunning," he says. "The goal is silky sweet potato underneath plus a genuinely thin, crackable brûlée shell." The addition of vanilla bean paste will have your guests wondering if you picked this one up from a five-star restaurant. WATCH THE VIDEO

"Everyone loves the soft marshmallows on top but what if it was crunchy, smoky brûléed sugar on top!?" muses Jose. "I would not add marshmallows or pecans — the sugar crust is the entire point."
Nonna Gracie's Italian Stuffing
It's all in the family: Nonna Gracie is pictured here with one of her biggest fans, her grandson Matt Gresia.
Gracie Geramita, "The Internet's Italian Grandmother" Nonna Gracie (@nonnagracie), got this very-special stuffing recipe from her mom when she was just 10 years old — it's over 100 years old. The matriarch's got a lot of reasons to celebrate this year: She just released her cookbook Sunday Dinner with Nonna Gracie. WATCH THE VIDEO

Vanessa Miller's Brown Butter Pecan Pie with Maple Whipped Cream
If you're in Houston and baking just isn't your forte, you can order Vanessa's homemade treats from her bakery.
Vanessa Louise Miller (@deliciousnessbakery) is a professional pastry chef and owner of DeliciousNess Bakery. "I have always had a 'passion for pastry' – this was handed down to me from my mother who was a chef" and who nicknamed her Ness, she writes. "There’s just something about pecan pie that makes it feel like the holidays to me. I wanted to take that classic everyone knows and loves and give it a little Ness twist." For her, that means a stunning brown-butter pecan filling and maple whipped cream. WATCH THE VIDEO

Emmanuel Duverneau's Famous Thanksgiving Turkey
Prepare to put on your dancin' shoes for this one.
Food so good it makes you dance is what Emmanuel Duverneau (@emmanuelduverneau) is all about. And he practically created a flash mob with his turkey and gravy recipe — it's his most-watched video with over 100 million views. So what sets it apart? Emmanuel starts with a dry brine of salt, dark brown sugar and coriander for crispy, beautifully browned skin, and keeps the meat juicy by adding an herby compound butter under the skin before it goes into the oven. But wait, there's more: He serves it with a sweet-and-savory, maple-soy glaze and gravy made from the turkey drippings plus more soy sauce, porcini mushrooms, garlic, shallots and thyme. It's famous for a reason! WATCH THE VIDEO

"When you only make turkey once a year, it should be a stunner, right?" asks Emmanuel. "It should be so juicy, so flavorful, and so beautifully lacquered that your family will sing and dance and wonder why they ever ate chicken — because every roast chicken they've ever made is so clearly inferior to this creation."
