Normally when I go to Target, it’s to grab kitchen appliances or storage units for my endless pile of clothes. However, this time around I decided to get some groceries from Target’s in-house brand Good and Gather. For a little background, Target’s Good and Gather line includes a variety of groceries from pantry staples to frozen foods and has many dedicated fans. Plus, it’s affordable — and we all know that groceries can be expensive, so any quick swaps to save a few bucks can really go a long way. With that said, I went to Target and purchased a bunch of different snacks and meal items across the board to taste test. These were my favorites.

I can confidently say I eat pasta three times a week. Usually it’s Banza (the chickpea pasta) since it has more protein, however, sometimes I’ll switch it up and opt for a novelty like ravioli. The pack of Good & Gather ravioli came with 12 pieces and was enough to feed two people. The best part? They only took five minutes to cook — quick and convenient, just how I like it. As for taste, they were very cheesy and delicious. I couldn’t taste much of the basil, but the tomato and cheese were both there. They could have used slightly more filling for a thicker consistency, but, overall, I’d add these to my cart next time I’m at Target.

I love quiche, but for some reason I rarely ever have it. My grandfather used to make the best quiche, so I decided to try this in his honor. First off, it’s nothing like homemade quiche, however, it hits the spot when you’re craving an egg-like custard in a pie crust. As someone who likes variety, I appreciated how this pack came with three different flavors — cheese and onion, spinach and Swiss, and mushroom and pepper. My favorite was the spinach and Swiss as it was super flavorful and really packed a punch in just the tiny cup.

Arguably my favorite part of Good and Gather’s line is the snack collection. I’m a sucker for chips, but not a fan of spending $5 or more for a bag of Tostitos. These blue corn tortilla chips were the ideal combination of sweet and salty while having a satisfying crunch. I think they could have used a bit less salt, but other than that I could have easily downed a $4 bag of these in minutes.

I’m not the type of person who makes pasta sauce from scratch, so jarred sauce it is. I’m not too picky about my sauce as long as it’s sweet and piping hot. I paired this sauce with my ravioli and it was creamy, rich, and cheesy. I wish it had a thicker consistency or some texture, but otherwise it was a great pairing.

I haven’t had hummus in a hot minute, but I’m so glad I decided to opt for this snack option. I tried it with pita, carrots, and pretzels and it was amazing. It was smooth, creamy, and easily spreadable. I appreciated how it didn’t have that super grainy texture that some hummus can have, giving it extra brownie points.

I have yogurt nearly every morning for breakfast, so I wanted to try the Good and Gather brand and see if it was any good. Usually Greek yogurt can be thick and chunky, but I loved how smooth and fluffy this one was. It blended effortlessly in my morning smoothie and the vanilla flavor was delightful to soften the tart aftertaste.

It’s safe to say I like grilled chicken strips more than chicken nuggets. They are so versatile and can be eaten alone, as a side dish, or mixed into pasta. The chicken was moist and juicy and very satisfying. It wasn’t chewy at all and was ready to eat in less than three minutes in the microwave. I mixed it in with my ravioli to make a more balanced meal and I really liked it.

This isn’t your traditional macaroni and cheese, but it’s a tasty alternative. It’s definitely sweeter thanks to the butternut squash, but it’s creamy and satisfying. The pasta is traditional rigatoni and in less than 10 minutes in a skillet it was ready to enjoy. The sauce was a bit watery, but I managed to make it work.

Broccoli is one of my favorite vegetables, especially when it’s steamed. I ate these broccoli florets with a side of macaroni and cheese and it was a tasty meal. As an alternative, I also ate them dipped in ranch and they were really good too.

I am nuts for these nuts. Puns aside, these cashews were so good, especially since they were honey roasted. They were a bit sweeter than traditional cashews, but that made them more enjoyable and fun to eat. I mixed in some chocolate and dried cranberries to make a trail mix and it was a hearty and healthy snack.
