Red, White and Blue Cocktails Perfect for Backyard Sipping
Mix these up from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Heather Ramsdell
If Memorial Day weekend, also known as the unofficial start to summer, has you looking for fun and colorful ways to welcome warmer weather, we've got you covered. Fruity and frozen daiquiris, super simple cocktails and even gelatin shots are all easy ways to add a dose of boozy patriotism straight through Labor Day.
You don't need to be a knowledgeable mixologist to whip up this beautiful frozen drink. Simply blend frozen fruit and rum for the red layer, coconut sorbet and rum for the white layer and ice cubes and blue liqueur (and more rum!) for the blue layer.

Use Pop Rocks to give these festive drinks their sweet rims. We mixed pomegranate and cranberry juices with seltzer, making these a nice nonalcoholic (and kid-friendly!) option. Add a splash of vodka for a grown-up twist.

DANY2015
Take a trip back to your college days with gelatin shots. These vodka-spiked cups are sweetened with Blue Curacao and grenadine, then topped with whipped cream. Just remember: They will need some time to set, so don't wait until the last minute to make these!
