Danielle Sepsy is the founder and chef behind The Hungry Gnome, the popular and innovative online and wholesale bakery based in New York City, and the author of the New York Times bestselling cookbook The Scone Queen Bakes. Danielle is also host of Best Bake Ever, a new baking series that premiered in August 2026 on Food Network's YouTube channel.
At the young age of 13, she started a home business selling her scones to friends, neighbors, and local cafes. Most recently, she appeared on Dan Levy’s The Big Brunch, where she was crowned the “Scone Queen” by devoted fans and the judges themselves, who raved about hers being “the BEST scones in the universe.” She has also appeared in cooking segments on nationally syndicated television programs, including the Today Show, Good Morning America and The Drew Barrymore Show.
She has performed live and on-demand cooking demonstrations on Food Network Kitchen, Pix11 and Good Day New York. She was the recipient of the Women-Owned Small Business Owner of the Year Award for New York State from the Small Business Administration and is currently an Oxo Chef in Residence.
