Leah Cohen is the chef and owner of Pig & Khao, serving up Southeast Asian cuisine influenced by her Filipino upbringing and her annual expeditions to the region in New York City's Upper West West Side. Her cooking philosophy is to stay true to authentic Southeast Asian flavors while incorporating classical western techniques. Leah also previously owned and operated Piggyback NYC, which offered Asian-inspired bar food inspired by Leah's travels, and additional locations of Pig & Khao across New York and New Jersey.
Leah competed on Season 5 of Bravo's Top Chef along the likes of chefs Carla Hall and Fabio Viviani. She finished in 6th place, just shy of making the finale. After Top Chef, Leah would later go on to become a Food Network regular, judging and competing on shows like Iron Chef Showdown, Beat Bobby Flay, Guy's Grocery Games, Tournament of Champions and Bobby Flay's The Line.
Leah is also the author of the cookbook Lemongrass & Lime: Southeast Asian Cooking at Home, co-authored with Stephanie Banyas.
