Ramen-Style Lunch Jar

1/2 cup leftover cooked spaghetti

1/4 cup shredded carrot

1/3 cup spinach

1/4 cup thinly sliced button mushrooms

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 hard-boiled egg, sliced in half

1 1/2 cups ramen broth or seasoned chicken bone broth

Kosher salt and ground black pepper


  1. Layer the spaghetti, carrot, spinach and mushrooms in a 16-ounce resealable jar or airtight container. Drizzle the soy sauce and sesame oil over the mushrooms. Place the egg on top of the mushrooms. Seal the container for travel.
  2. Place the ramen broth in a 16-ounce airtight microwavable container.
  3. Heat the ramen broth in the microwave for 2 minutes or until hot, stirring at 1-minute intervals.
  4. Open the spaghetti mix jar and carefully pour the hot broth over the mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
