Vanilla Orange Syrup

4 cups orange juice

3 tablespoons honey 

1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped 

1 thin slice ginger 

Pinch kosher salt 


  1. Combine the orange juice, honey, vanilla, ginger and salt in a pot and reduce over medium-high heat to 1/2 to 3/4 cup (depending on the desired consistency), 10 to 15 minutes. You will know the full thickness of the syrup when it cools, so it is best to set up an ice bath with a stainless bowl over it to cool the mixture when it is finished reducing.
