As much as the Super Bowl is about the big game — and the halftime show, obvs — it’s also about the food. (For some of us, the food is more important, but I digress!) Between the nachos and the wings and the guacamole and the pizza and the subs and the meatballs and the brownies, game day can feel like a 100-yard sprint by the time you prep and serve everything. Fans of every team want something to munch on as the plays unfold, but you don’t necessarily have to execute a huge spread to satisfy cravings. In fact, all you need are a few quick-fix bites.

Enter: Mom’s Amped-Up Snack Mix from Valerie Bertinelli. She shared this recipe during a live class on the Food Network Kitchen app, and believe it or not, the whole thing comes together in just 30 minutes. Valerie’s trick for fuss-free snacking is using items you probably already have on hand to make something new and completely craveworthy. She likes a mix of flavors and textures — sweet corn cereal squares, cheesy crackers, salty pretzels and nuts, and spicy wasabi peas. When tossed together with butter and quickly baked, the mixture turns into a fan-favorite munchie you can easily eat while watching the game. Just in case, double the recipe to allow for overtime stress-eating!
