Chocolate Ganache

  • Yield: enough to cover 1 (9-inch) cake

12 ounces heavy cream

12 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped


  1. Place the chopped chocolate into a large bowl. In a heavy saucepan heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Pour the cream over the chocolate. Stir until all of the chocolate has melted. The ganache is ready to pour.
