  1. Hull the strawberries and place on a plate. Freeze until firm, at least 1 hour.
  2. Meanwhile, make a simple syrup: Heat 1/3 cup water and the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.
  3. Combine the simple syrup, frozen strawberries, 1 1/2 cups ice, the lemon juice and gin in a blender. Blend until thick and smooth.
  4. Pour the drink into glasses. Garnish each with a lemon twist.
