1 whole chicken, cut into pieces

Buttermilk, to marinate chicken

Salt and pepper

Self-rising flour, to coat chicken

Oil, for frying


  1. Wash chicken pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste. Marinate pieces for 1 hour in buttermilk. Remove chicken pieces 1 at a time from buttermilk, coat with flour, and deep-fry until golden brown.
