Tres Leches Cake is Ree’s favorite dessert of all time, but there’s not always time to make one from scratch. This shortcut version, with an added strawberry kick, is a great solution for last minute entertaining.
NEW: You can now switch to Cook Mode to keep your screen awake.
Directions
Cut the pound cake into 1-inch cubes and lay in the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Whisk together the different milks and vanilla bean paste.
Pour over the cake pieces, then add small spoonfuls of the strawberry jam over the top and cover with the whipped topping, smoothing the surface. Load a sieve with crushed freeze-dried strawberries and dust the top. Decorate with the strawberry slices and serve immediately.
Cook’s Note
Freeze-dried strawberries can be found in the chips and snacks area of supermarkets, near nuts.
