Ethan is a student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He saw Outrageous Pumpkins for the first time as a kid, and was so captivated by the show, he began to carve every pumpkin that he could get his hands on. Now in school, so much of the art he makes is focused on being technically flawless, and he plans to use those techniques in his pumpkin carves.

Rebecca is an art teacher and tattoo artist from Texas. She has been carving pumpkins for about 10 years and has been working at a tattoo shop for about a year. In this competition, she hopes that her wide range of skills as an artist will lead her to win.

James is a prop master from California, and his pumpkin-carving journey begain when he was just a little kid. He started with only drawing on pumpkins until he was finally allowed to start carving. Since then, he's been carving pumpkins, and he's now ready to win this competition.

Daniel is an electrical foreman from Oklahoma, and before using pumpkins, he started with carving wood. He began carving pumpkins almost nine years ago, but according to him, he’s been carving pumpkins "well" for two years. If Daniel wins this competition, he wants to use the money to start his own pumpkin patch.

Cassie is a marketing director from Rhode Island. She loves pumpkins, because they rot and disappear. As an artist, she really likes to express herself through animated faces. In fact, she uses a mirror to copy her own facial expressions onto her pumpkins.

Arthur is a voice-over actor and art teacher from California. He has been carving pumpkins for about 8 years now, and what he wants the judges to see from his artistic point-of-view is the amount of theatricality that he brings to his creations. Because he is a multi-faceted artist, Arthur believes he might see things differently from other pumpkin carvers.

Michele is a professional chainsaw carver from New York. As a professional chainsaw artist, she gets a handful of commissions and special orders. She is doing this competition, because she wants to make her family proud and become the first grandmother to win Outrageous Pumpkins.

Chaminda is a seaming technician from Florida, and he began carving pumpkins about 15 years ago. However, aside from pumpkins, he also carves and sculpts several different materials, like styrofoam, clay, concrete, butter, chocolate, vegetables and ice.
