Meet the Competitors of Spring Baking Championship, Season 6

Get to know the eleven bakers competing for a chance to win the $25,000 prize and the title of Spring Baking Champion.

Val Criado — San Antonio, TX

Val is a full-time mom and a part-time baker, where she runs her own business, Val’s Sweet Treats, right out of her own kitchen.

Sandra Danso-Boadi — Mississauga, ON

Sandra is a self-taught cake designer and the founder and creative director of Fruitilicious Cakes, a boutique bake shop located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Sohrob Esmaili — San Francisco, CA

Sohrob is a pastry chef at the San Francisco Proper Hotel. Sohrob loves the spring and flower-print shirts, and says his cat is definitely a small version of him because "she lounges around a lot."

Arin Hiebert — Calgary, AB

Arin came all the way from Canada to be a part of Spring Baking Championship and is currently a Pastry Chef de Partie at the Fairmont Palliser hotel.

Franck Iglesias — Old Saybrook, CT

Franck moved to the U.S. from France and is of Spanish descent. He now works as the Executive Pastry Chef at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

Molly Matthaei — Jackson Hole, WY

Molly is a culinary arts instructor who lives in the heart of the Grand Tetons. Most nights, Molly can see the Milky Way right from her house. When she isn’t teaching, Molly is tending to the big rhubarb patch she’s growing in her backyard.

Aisha Momaney — New York, NY

Aisha is a pastry chef in the heart of Manhattan, but was born and raised in Vermont. Aisha strives for the balance of health, wellness and sweets as a passionate runner, who loves nothing more than hitting the pavement under the bright spring sun.

Christine Nguyen — Sugar Land, TX

Christine says Duff is her cake idol so this is a dream come true. Christine was a teacher turned self-taught baker who now owns The Sweet Boutique Bakery. In the spring, Christine enjoys picking strawberries with her five children.

Anibal Rodriguez — Rio Grande, PR

Anibal is from Chicago but currently resides in Puerto Rico and is the Executive Pastry Chef at St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in San Juan.

Aris Rodriguez — Sedona, AZ

Originally from the Philippines, Aris is currently the Executive Pastry Chef at The Enchantment Resort based in Sedona.

Tati Vernot — Miami, FL

Tati is a pastry chef based in Miami, Florida. Tati enjoys going to the countryside and can make a delicious dessert perfect for camping outdoors by the bonfire.
