You Can Now Get Your Slurpee in Cookie Form

Which is kind of cool, but definitely not ice-cold.

Nothing like meandering into a 7-Eleven for a Slurpee on a hot summer day. (Steamy brow, meet icy beverage.) Personally I’m partial to a Coca-Cola Slurpee (total guilty pleasure), yet I believe a Cherry Slurpee is also a respectable choice -- a bright-red classic. Now you can get the latter in cookie form.

Instagrammer junkfoodmom recently posted a photo of Cherry Slurpee frosted sugar cookies, which come 10 to a pack. A few days later, she followed up with more photos and a review:

"Found these a few days ago and was hesitant to try them.. I figured they’d be sickly sweet . Well I’m glad I dived in because these are actually very good!" she wrote. "Yea- I know .. I’m shocked too. They don’t just taste like cherry- they actually taste like a cherry Slurpee . And they are not overly sweet like most of these type of cookies. The frosting is fairly thick but is perfectly balanced with the soft cookie. I like ‘em! If you’re a Slurpee fan you need these."

"Need" may be putting it a bit strongly, but others apparently concur with junkfoodmom’s positive assessment of the cookies, which are reportedly available at 7-Eleven for a limited time only.

"Tried these, [they’re] pretty good!" wrote one commenter to her initial post.

"yummmmm!" wrote another.

Of course, there were skeptics, such as the commenter who groaned, "Oh god my teeth."

It’s been a big summer for Slurpee cross-pollination. In July, 7-Eleven released a cereal-flavored Slurpee, Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries Slurpee. (Because I guess Blue Raspberry didn’t satisfy America’s craving for blue Slurpees?)

As another commenter, who goes by the handle antimodeldiet, griped to junkfoodmom, "cereal flavored slurpees and slurpee flavored cookies? I can’t keep up."

We feel you antimodeldiet, we feel you.
