Untested theory: This world can be divided into Fudgsicle people and Creamsicle people. Me, I’m definitely in the former camp, but Dairy Queen has good news for those who fall into the latter one: a new Dreamsicle Dipped Cone.

Available in small, medium and large sizes, the new bright-hued menu item is a classic vanilla soft-serve ice cream cone “dipped in a crunchy, creamy orange coating,” according to the DQ website. It quietly made its debut at DQ locations ahead of Dairy Queen’s free cone day last month and will be available throughout the summer for $2.44, although, DQ warns, availability and price may vary by location.

Not surprisingly, the sunshine-colored treat is already getting notice on social media.

“I dream. You dream. We all dream. For Dreamsicle,” the official Dairy Queen Twitter account mused last week, with a twinkling image of the new cone.

“Looks like #icecream heaven in a cone,” one fan opined.

“Needs to be available all year round,” asserted another.

A host of others responded by posting photos of themselves clutching undulating orange cones of their own.

“Looks like my local DQ is participating! Orange you glad I checked?” quipped one punster.
