Mountain Dew’s latest variety is a flavorful first for the soda brand. PepsiCo, which owns Mountain Dew, announced today that it’s combining the beloved beverage and the flavor of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, another PepsiCo product, to create an entirely new item aptly titled MTN DEW FLAMIN’ HOT.

According to a press release, this is the first-ever beverage to combine the “sweet, citrus DEW with a new spicy goodness.” The release also noted that MTN DEW FLAMIN’ HOT will be available starting August 31, and that it’s only slated to be around for a limited time, while supplies last.

“As a brand, DEW has a rich history of experimenting with new flavors our fans love. We certainly had them in mind when we developed the FLAMIN’ HOT beverage,” Matt Nielsten, senior director of marketing at PepsiCo, said in a statement. “This is one of our most provocative beverages yet, and we're excited for DEW Nation to taste the unique blend of spicy and classic sweet citrus flavor of MTN DEW.”

If you’re eager to give this spicy soda a try, be sure to head over to the virtual shelves of the DEW Store starting next week, as this drink will only be sold online.

And that’s not all! To complement this extreme new flavor, MTN DEW has joined forces with contemporary clothing brand, Broken Promises, to create an apparel line inspired by FLAMIN’ HOT. The limited collection is slated to include shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and accessories. It drops via presale exclusively to subscribers on the Broken Promises app on Friday, September 3 at 11 p.m. EST, while the official launch to the public is on Broken Promises' website on September 4 at 11 a.m. EST.

Additionally, MTN DEW is partnering with influencers such as @baddiewinkle and @GrannyCoyBundy to showcase their sweet and spicy personalities on social media ahead of the MTN DEW FLAMIN’ HOT launch.

This is the second round of new product news in as many weeks that Mountain Dew has blessed us with. Earlier this month, the brand confirmed that it will be unveiling Hard Mtn Dew — an alcoholic take on Mountain Dew made with malt liquor — early next year.
