Like so many holidays, Diwali typically includes cooking up a big meal for family and friends. And if you want your cookware to be as stunning and spice-filled as your meal when the festival recurs in November this year, Our Place may have the colorful collection for you.

Central to Our Place’s Diwali Collection is the Golden Fry Set, which includes a stylish Skimmer Spoon that’s made from stainless steel with a brushed gold finish and features perforations in a pattern designed by Lekha clothing company founder Trishala Bhansai. To help fried foods stay crisp, the set also includes a unique, wavy-edged, gold-finished stainless steel Cooling Rack designed by artist Manjit Thapp. The rack fits perfectly into Our Place’s Oven Pan which comes in a limited-edition turmeric color option for the holiday season. And finally, the set comes with a pair of red clay diyas with cotton wicks — ready to add oil to help you celebrate this festival of lights. All of the products were sourced and made in India.

While the Fry Set and turmeric-colored Always Pan 2.0, Perfect Pot and Oven Pan were introduced as part of the Diwali Collection last year, new this year is the opportunity to include Diaspora Co., an online spice company that offers single-origin products and pays farmers living wages. For just $10 (regularly $18), you can add on a one-gram tin of Diaspora Co. Diwali Kashmiri Saffron featuring a special Diwali-themed label. “Sourced from Pampore, Kashmir, it is the highest quality Grade A saffron, and will have you rethinking everything you know about how saffron is supposed to taste with its notes of honey and almond,” Diaspora Co.’s description states.

Speaking of saffron, the deep red-orange tone is also available as an option on Our Place’s dinner-sized Full Plates. As for your other turmeric-gold accessory options, the colorway is available as Night + Day Mugs, Night + Day Glasses, Mini Plates and Mini Bowls.

As the Our Place website explains, “Each piece in this set is meant to inspire anyone who celebrates Diwali to create their own gathering — hopefully one filled with delicious fried treats like jalebi, gulab jamun, laddu, murukku, pakoras, samosas, puris…we could go on and on!”

The Diwali Collection is part of Our Place’s Traditionware, touted as “a series of limited edition collections designed to honor multicultural food traditions from around the world.”
