Aldi Is Hopping On an Unexpected Trend
Here’s how you can get your hands on this free surprise.

Blind boxes, with their exciting element of surprise, are a fun trend in the areas of fashion, beauty, toys and collectibles. And now, these who-knows-what’s-in-'em packages are expanding into the realm of groceries.
Aldi is dropping limited-time-only, “curated” Blind Boxes filled with “fan-favorite products, standout staples and fresh picks from across every aisle” in order to “turn everyday grocery shopping into something a little less predictable.” Also, they’re free.
“The Aldi Blind Box taps into the excitement our fans already feel walking our aisles,” Bridget Kozlowski, Aldi’s director of communications, says in a press release. “Our shoppers come to Aldi for value, but they also come for discovery.”
What's in Aldi Blind Boxes?
I mean, obviously, the point is that the contents of each "limited-time grocery bundle experience” are a surprise. But we know the boxes are being released in four themed categories:
- The Snack Blind Box is a “craveable mix" of "premium cheeses, dips, crunchy bites and sweets" designed for "grazing … all day long.”
- The Fiber Blind Box offers a “fiber-filled assortment” of “gut-friendly staples and fresh picks that are easy on the stomach and even better on taste buds.”
- The Protein Blind Box promises to keep you “fueled, full and ready for whatever is next without any fuss.”
- The Mystery Blind Box includes a “surprising mix of products from across the store that are about to become … new foodie obsessions.”
“From viral Aldi Finds to tried-and-true products shoppers love to tell their friends about, people love the thrill of discovering something new here,” Kozlowski says. “With surprise unboxings more popular than ever, this is our way of helping customers discover even more favorites."
How can you get an Aldi Blind Box?
Starting Monday, June 22 and extending through Thursday, June 25, Aldi will introduce a different themed Aldi Blind Box each day at 12:00 p.m. ET. To claim a free box, visit https://www.aldiblindbox.com, select the Aldi Blind Box for that day, enter your shipping info and wait to for the box to be delivered to your door.
