Chelsea is a digital content editor at Food Network and HGTV with a background in food, home, lifestyle and commerce storytelling. Her interest lies in reporting that helps people understand the world around them and navigate everyday decisions, with a focus on helping readers find ideas and stories that make life a little easier and more joyful.
Chelsea grew up in Columbia, Maryland, where her first job was as a youth cooking instructor. What she loved most about that job was helping kids build confidence in the kitchen and discover the fun of making something themselves.
Outside of work, she can usually be found trying a recipe she saw online, watching a documentary or visiting any variety of open-air market.

Chelsea has worked across newsrooms and lifestyle brands including CNN Underscored, Food Network, HGTV, Business Insider and Capital News Service, where she produced digital content including written reporting, product coverage, longform video and social media.
Before joining Food Network and HGTV, Chelsea was an editorial intern at CNN Underscored, where she contributed to tested reviews, editor-curated roundups and seasonal shopping guides. She also spent two semesters as a commerce editorial intern for HGTV and Food Network, writing about home, kitchen and lifestyle products and conducting hands-on product testing.
Education
Chelsea graduated from the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism with a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism and a minor in public leadership.
