Aldi Advent calendars have become a beloved annual tradition. So much so that it’s kind of startling to stop and remember that it’s been only two years since the supermarket chain rolled out its popular Wine and Cheese Advent calendars here in the U.S. for the first time, in 2018 — having introduced them to great excitement in the U.K. the year before — and just one since it returned with them and expanded its line in 2019 with a Beer Advent Calendar and a Sparkling Wine Countdown to the New Year boxed collection.
This year, Aldi is leaning into its limited-time Advent calendar lineup even more, bringing back its super popular wine, cheese, beer and sparkling wine countdown calendars and introducing new options for a broad array totaling 20 different Advent calendars in all.
Among the new offerings are its O’Donnells 12 Days of Irish Country Cream Calendar and Vista Bay Hard Seltzer Advent Calendar. The latter features two each of 12 different flavors of hard seltzer: Black Cherry, Coconut Mango, Ruby Grapefruit, Blood Orange, Blueberry, Passionfruit, Mandarin Lime, Green Apple, Peach, Raspberry Lime, Strawberry and Tangy Lemon.
If you want the Wine, Cheese, Beer or Hard Seltzer calendars, you’ll want to grab them pretty much as soon as they become available on November 4; supplies are limited, and in the past, they’ve sold out fast. Same goes for the Irish Country Cream Calendar, which is available a bit later, on November 25 (purchasing information here).
And speaking of dates to mark down on your (regular) calendar, Aldi is formalizing the annual advent of Advent Calendar season by announcing “the official and inaugural National Advent Calendar Day.”
It will “fall annually on the first Wednesday of November to commemorate when the first ALDI Advent calendars go on sale each year,” a company spokesperson told Food Network via email.
Let the countdown to the countdown begins!
