The Simple Way to Fall-ify Your Bread
Thida Bevington’s pumpkin-shaped rolls are the cutest carbs ever.
This may come as a shock to PSL fans: Not everyone loves pumpkin spice. Or pumpkin pies. Or really the taste of pumpkin at all.
But that doesn’t mean those people don’t love autumn!
Instagrammer Thida Bevington, who describes herself as “a mom of four and a self taught baker with a very sweet tooth,” has offered a culinary solution for those who want to mark the season while avoiding PSL mania. As a bonus, it’s great for all the newly enthusiastic bread bakers out there: pumpkin-shaped bread rolls.
She just posted photos of the rolls — baked and unbaked, and they’re seriously the cutest thing.
“I know it’s September and I can see people posting all things apple, pumpkin and pies already, but I’m afraid the only thing of a vaguely autumnal nature that you might see in my kitchen are these pumpkin shaped bread rolls,” Bevington wrote in a caption. “My kids hate anything made with pumpkin, all fruit pies, (and any baked goods with fruit in!) and cinnamon and spices can produce a wrinkled disgusted face if I sneak them into a cake or cookie! These bread rolls are fun to make though …”
Commenters are calling the miniature bread pumpkins “pretty,” “beautiful” and “adorable.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Bevington used sweet enriched dough for the batch in the photos, but notes that any bread dough will work.
