Our Place, one of our most-loved kitchenware brands, launched a new pan just in time to gather around the Iftar table. They recently debuted the Crescent Always Pan 2.0 in celebration of Eid al-Fitr ("the feast of breaking the fast"), the Muslim holiday that signifies the end of Ramadan. This year, Eid falls on the evening of April 9th, so you can order the new Always Pan now and have it in time for your celebration. For every purchase of this limited-edition pan, 20 percent of net profits will go to The Middle East Children's Alliance.

The Crescent Always Pan is a deeply personal product for Shiza Shahid, the co-founder of Our Place. "Growing up, I always celebrated Eid. Since moving to America, I've been recreating those Eid traditions in L.A. in my own way. The joy of this collection was celebrating the diversity of the Muslims who were a part of it: men, women, non-binary people, immigrants, refugees and those who have been here for generations. There's no one way to celebrate Eid, and at Our Place however you celebrate, you're always welcome."

So, what makes this pan so special, you ask? It comes in a two-toned pistachio-inspired color that, according to Our Place, represents life, nature and joy. The knob at the top features a motif of a crescent moon (the celestial marker of the religious holiday) with an intricate geometric pattern. The knob was designed by Jahaan Sani, Our Place's product engineer, who says, "I was inspired by the Islamic architecture and culture at the heart of New Delhi, where I grew up celebrating Eid."

And if you're not familiar with the Always Pan, it's definitely a worthwhile addition to your kitchen. Last year, the new-and-improved Always Pan 2.0 impressed our shopping experts with its increased versatility. You can use the pan to saute, sear, braise, fry and even boil. Even better, it's oven-save up to 450°F. When you buy the Always Pan, you'll also get a nesting beechwood spatula and steamer basket/colander.

The Crescent Always Pan is the newest item in Our Place's Traditionware Collection and is available in the brand's standard 10.5-inch size.
