Aldi’s Thanksgiving Feast Is a Dang Good Deal

It may seem as if Thanksgiving gets more expensive to prepare every year, but Aldi is working to reduce that trend. Long dedicated to offering all the groceries needed for Thanksgiving meals for a low price per person, this year the chain is bringing those prices down even lower than it did last year: You can get a full traditional Thanksgiving meal serving 10 people for — hang onto your Pilgrim hat — $40.
Yes, that comes out to $4 per person for a generous spread that includes the turkey and complete ingredients for nine side dishes. That price per person is, Aldi notes, “less than a pumpkin spice latte.”
“The Aldi commitment to low prices is unwavering and I am thrilled that we are able to offer an even more affordable holiday meal than last year,” Aldi U.S. CEO Atty McGrath says in a press release. “Saving our shoppers money is our mission every day – but is especially important during the holidays when they need it most.”
What does Aldi’s $40 Thanksgiving feast include?
It includes basically everything you need for a complete holiday spread for 10 people: 21 total products and ingredients in all. For $40 you can get everything you need to cook, bake and serve turkey, rolls, cranberry sauce, mac and cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie.

How can you get Aldi’s $40 Thanksgiving feast?
Just purchase all the items individually. All the included items are marked on the shelves in Aldi stores. You don’t need a coupon or a membership or anything like that.
You can build your Aldi Thanksgiving feast by shopping in person at your local store. Or you can save yourself the in-store treasure hunt for included items by ordering all the elements for the complete feast online for curbside pickup or placing an order through a delivery service such as Instacart, Uber Eats or DoorDash. The deal is available now through December 24, which means you can enjoy a holiday meal beyond Thanksgiving as well.
Aldi anticipates that its low-priced holiday meal will set a standard for other grocers to follow suit and lower prices too.
“Thanksgiving is the biggest food holiday of the year, and Aldi is proud to lead the industry once again on price,” Aldi U.S. CCO Scott Patton says. “Price leadership is part of our DNA, and the holidays are when our commitment to value really shines. We believe families shouldn’t have to make trade-offs to feed everyone, especially at Thanksgiving.”
