Subway’s New Thanksgiving Sandwich Is Inspired By One of the Holiday’s Wildest Dishes

Move over Turducken, you legendary, and not for the faint of heart or appetite, bird inside a bird inside a bird. (Duck within chicken within turkey, so the nomenclature is out of order, but who’s complaining?) For Thanksgiving this year, Subway is offering its own spin on a triple-protein festive dish.
The chain has coined and cooked up the TurHamKen, a sandwich that combines oven-roasted turkey, Black Forest ham and rotisserie-style chicken into one meaty bite.
It is, boasts Paul Fabre, Subway’s senior vice president of global culinary and innovation, the “world’s first” sandwich of its kind — or at least the first so named.
The TurHamKen debuts at Subway locations nationwide beginning November 13 as part of the chain’s new Festive Feast collection, which will be available only for a limited time.

What is Subway’s New Festive Feast collection?
Featuring three sandwiches, Subway’s Festive Feast collection offers a new take on Thanksgiving staples. Highlighting the offerings are Subway’s new sweet and tart cranberry sauce and a savory stuffing made with herbs including parsley, rosemary and sage as well as breadcrumbs and broth. The subs are also layered with Monterey Cheddar cheese, spinach, red onions and mayo.
In addition to the aforementioned TurHamKen, the lineup includes a Festive Turkey sandwich, made with Subway’s popular “signature” oven-roasted turkey and a Festive Chicken sandwich, featuring rotisserie-style chicken “precision-cooked using a sous vide” method.
“Whether you’re looking for a delicious meal to bring to Friendsgiving, your turkey caught fire (or stayed frozen), or you simply want to feast without any fuss, Subway’s Festive Feast collection is the perfect solution for any holiday gathering or kitchen mishap,” the brand says in a press release.
Is Subway doing anything else to celebrate Thanksgiving?
Well, for starters, it’s giving customers the option of adding cranberry sauce or stuffing to any sub for $1, which is something Thanksgiving-food fans will presumably be thankful for.
And the chain is offering its MVP Rewards members a $1 footlong sandwich with the purchase of another footlong sandwich when they use the promo code “FOOTLONGFAN” on the Subway app or Subway.com. So you can TurHamKen-times-two and have leftovers, too. Because, as we all know, Thanksgiving meals are even better the next day.
