I Tasted All 24 Jars in the Limited-Edition 2026 Bonne Maman Advent Calendar
The cult-favorite gift is back for another year — and it's sure to sell out again.
There's something intrinsically sweet about an Advent calendar. Opening something up every day, for 24 consecutive days, is like enjoying an extended series of gifts. And there may be no Advent calendar sweeter than Bonne Maman's.
Bonne Maman — maker of preserves, jellies and other spreads packaged in gingham-lidded jars — is bringing back its super popular Advent calendar for another year.
I had a chance to open every little box in the calendar, pop open each jar, and taste each and every spread. It was glorious — and very sweet. Here's what you can expect.
What does the 2026 Bonne Maman Advent Calendar look like?
This year’s calendar again comes in a big gift box featuring a charming holiday design. But while the top and sides of last year's calendar were illustrated with an outdoor snowscape that had kind of a Currier and Ives vibe, this year's is a little more domestic and indoor-cozy. It has a gifts-under-the-tree theme, featuring images of Christmas-tree boughs, holiday cookies, festive ornaments, a warm and welcoming cup of cocoa, gift boxes and bows, and mini Bonne Maman jars galore.
The box opens on two sides like a double door to reveal 24 adorable mini boxes, each of which appears to be individually wrapped in a different festive holiday paper (no repeated designs!), topped with a bow and numbered through 24 in a gift-tag format.
When each small square box is removed from its slot, a holiday message is revealed: "Season's Greetings," "Make Spirits Bright," "Spend Time With Loved Ones," "Let It Snow" and the like.
This year's diminutive jam boxes look like delightful little jewelry gift boxes — the sort of thing you might open to find a ring, a pair of earrings or some other precious bauble. In fact, each of the boxes contains a little gingham-topped, tastefully labeled one-ounce jar of a different limited-edition flavor of Bonne Maman spread, some of which are available only during the holiday season.
"Once the countdown is over, repurpose each charming mini box for stocking stuffers, place settings or tiny treasures," as "a delightful way to extend the magic," Bonne Maman suggests.
What flavors are in the 2026 Bonne Maman Advent Calendar?
I don't want to ruin the element of surprise by revealing too much — not knowing what’s inside each miniature box is arguably what's most delightful about this advent calendar. What I will do is name a few of the flavors my fellow tasters (family members) and I liked best — but not tell you which numbered box you'll find them within.
Lemon Lavender Spread, with its citrus flavor and lavender bits, reminded us of a particularly interesting lemon meringue pie.
Dark Chocolate Caramel Spread and Raspberry-Dark Chocolate Spread were as decadent and delicious as they sound; rather like a rich hot fudge and a dark-chocolate-covered raspberry, respectively.
Caramel With Salted Butter Spread was a dulce de leche doppelgänger.
Orange-Mandarin-Passion Fruit Spread tasted like a very special marmalade.
And both White Fig Spread and Fig Cardamom Spread were big-time favorites — one more straightforward and the other a bit more complex.
We also especially enjoyed Guava Spread and Orange-Yuzu-Grapefruit Spread, both of which offered a little tartness to offset the sweetness, and Rhubarb-Strawberry Spread, which tasted like spring-to-summertime pie.
The spreads are all made with "simple, premium ingredients" and without high-fructose corn syrup, preservatives or artificial additives, Bonne Maman says. The calendar offers something for lovers of every kind of fruit — often in combination with unexpected flavors (lavender, lemon verbena or Sichuan pepper, for example) — and for honey, caramel and chocolate fans to boot.
Where can you buy the 2026 Bonne Maman Advent Calendar?
The limited-edition annual advent calendar is currently available for $55.99 on Bonne Maman's website, Amazon and select retailers nationwide. However, the brand warns that the cult-hit calendar is available only in limited quantities while supplies last each holiday season, and "once it's gone, it's gone until next year."
