McRib fans, the moment you’ve been waiting for is McHere. The juicy sandwich you anticipate every autumn is back at McDonald’s.
“Cue the fanfare – It’s that time of year again,” McDonald’s trumpets in an online update announcing the popular sandwich’s return.
When is the McRib coming back — and is it returning nationwide?
The sandwich made its comeback starting Tuesday, November 11, for a limited time. Sadly no, it won’t be available at all McDonald’s locations nationwide for 2025, but will be available at “select restaurants regionally,” the brand says.
Cities where you’ll find the McRib this year include, among others, Miami, Dallas, St. Louis, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle and Los Angeles. So there’s a fairly good chance there’s one within driving distance from those who are truly McRib committed.
McDonald’s suggests checking with your local McDonald’s to see if there’s a location near you that’s offering the McRib this year.
Or you could try this: Fans of the sandwich have launched an online McRib Locator, where you enter in your location and are served up a crowdsourced list of the McRib-offering McDonald’s restaurants closest to you. But don’t just hop in the car without double checking availability. “Always call ahead to make sure the McRib is still available,” the McRib Locator warns.
What is the McRib?
The McRib is a BBQ pork sandwich that starts with a piece of “seasoned boneless pork.” The pork is dipped in McDonald’s BBQ sauce, topped with slivered onions and pickles, and served on a toasted bun.
“It is our most-mentioned limited-time product online, higher than other evergreen items,” McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director Guillaume Huin wrote on X.

Is anything else coming to McDonald’s this week?
Why, yes, McDonald’s Holiday Pie is also returning — on Friday, November 14.
The handheld treat, which features “creamy, smooth custard nestled in a flaky, buttery crust glazed with sugar and topped with rainbow sprinkles,” as the brand describes it, will be available at participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide for a limited time.
