We love Our Place's air fryer toaster oven as much as their iconic Always Pan — and that's high praise.

Back in 2021, the company Our Place became social-media famous for its first ever product: the Always Pan. Known for its impeccable quality (and for selling out over and over again), the Always Pan was a true representation of the company’s goals, both culinary and otherwise: Our Place aims to bring people together through carefully-curated, thoughtfully-designed and economically-made kitchen products. Now, the brand is a house-hold name; they even have a collaboration line with Selena Gomez.

After the world had fallen in love with the company, their mission and the Always Pan, there were high expectations for Our Place’s next big industry-disruptor: the Wonder Oven. As big fans of the Always Pan (and the 2.0 version), we put the Wonder Oven to the test. Here's our honest review.

What Is the Wonder Oven?

The Wonder Oven is a multi-functional countertop oven that combines compact design with high-powered cooking to create an all-around kitchen workhorse. More than just an air fryer but not as bulky as a regular countertop oven, the Wonder Oven makes it easy to whip up whole meals, sweet treats, crisp breads and more in minutes, while minimizing the footprint on the counter as well as the clean-up.

At $195, the Wonder Oven is priced similarly to air fryer toaster ovens and boasts six functions: air fry, bake, roast, toast, broil and reheat. Additionally, the oven has a steam infuser that can be used in conjunction with any function to add a little moisture to the oven cavity while cooking, helping to keep vegetables tender while crisping on air fry, build a crisp crust while baking bread, or keep meats juicy while roasting. The oven itself comes in three main and one limited edition matte color and comes with a matching-colored ceramic-coated baking pan, in addition to the stainless steel rack, air fry basket, and crumb tray. The temperature ranges from 200℉ to 450℉, and the oven can be set to run for up to 60 minutes, all while maintaining a small 11”x 12” footprint.

The Pros of the Wonder Oven

Material: My first thought was, with the number of air fryer toaster ovens on the market today, how different could the Wonder Oven be? Right from the unboxing, with the beautiful and environmentally-conscious user, recipe and quick-start guides, to the unveiling of the oven, with its gorgeous color and crisp, stainless-steel interior, the answer was clear: This oven is meant to be special. We especially loved that all of the accessories and interior of the oven were toxin- and PFAS-free, unlike some traditional-style air fryers that use some PFAS in the nonstick coatings of the basket and basket trays. Oh, and did we mention how cute it is? It could easily be left on the counter all the time, bringing style and function.

Cooking: Each function shines in its own way, backing the claim that the oven is “6-in-1.” The air fry function created beautifully golden French fries and chicken wings in just minutes. Multiple types of cookies were baked to perfection on the parchment-lined baking tray (showing that the bake function wasn’t just air fry in disguise)! The roast function quickly and evenly cooked a 4.5 lb chicken, while the steam infusion maintained juicy, tender meat. A slice of cold pizza went from drab to fab in no time flat with the reheat function, and salmon filets were nicely browned but still moist after being broiled. While the toast function can be one of the most difficult to perfect on an oven like this, it worked like a charm, evenly browning the top and bottom of the bread to golden perfection. We made the whole roasted chicken and za’atar flatbread recipes from the included recipe booklet, both of which were clearly written, easy to follow and oh-so-delicious.

Cleaning: While none of the included accessories are dishwasher-safe, they were quick and easy to wash by hand. Not even the burned-on cheese or chicken skin stuck to the ceramic-coated baking pan! Even the air fryer basket, with its wire netting, was easy to clean and didn’t eat through any sponges. After the roasted chicken, the oven was covered top-to-bottom in splatter. The stainless steel oven interior was easy to clean with just a soapy sponge — no scrubbing required!

We should also mention that there’s a 100-day risk-free trial as well as a 1-year warranty, so you have both time to test out the oven and support in case anything goes wrong.

The Cons of the Wonder Oven

Door Design: Through all of our testing, the only aspect of the oven that was majorly problematic was the proximity of the bottom rack position to the bottom of the oven. When the Wonder Oven is deep enough on the counter that the handle touches the counter when the door is open, it can be difficult to get an accessory into the bottom rack placement, especially if it has something heavy on it like a 4.5 lb chicken! The solution? Pulling the oven towards the front of the counter (so that the handle was off the edge of the counter when the door was open) allowed the door to open a full 180°, and the accessories could go in without an issue. Just be careful of little kids and their tendency to reach for things: The outside of the oven gets very hot while cooking.

Size: While it’s impressive how much food can be made at once (using both rack positions is a plus), don’t expect to use the Wonder Oven to cook your Thanksgiving turkey. The oven has enough room to easily make a full dinner for four and appetizers, sweets, or baked goods for even more than four. For reference, the air fry basket held about 1.5 lb of chicken wings, the baking tray was perfect for six, evenly-spaced cookies, and the wire rack was perfect for four good-sized pieces of toast. The oven fits significantly more than its compact size would lead you to think, but if you’re looking to cook for a larger family, this may not be the best investment for you.

Cleaning: If you only purchase appliances with dishwasher-safe parts, the Wonder Oven is not for you.

Bottom Line: For smaller households and those looking for a compact air fryer toaster oven, the Wonder Oven is a good option.

Most appliances leave my kitchen as quickly as they come in, with very few being useful enough to justify the space they take up. That being said, the Wonder Oven, between its compact design and 6-in-1 cooking capabilities, will be gracing my kitchen for a long time to come. Not only is it a great investment for avoiding use of the oven in the warmer months, but it cooks faster than other methods all while using better quality materials. A winner in my book, the Wonder Oven truly is wonder-ful.
