1. Reese's Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs
Reese’s chocolate-covered peanut butter cups are universally loved, so it’s no surprise that their Easter sweets are the most popular among the Food Network staff. A twist on their classic peanut butter cup, the brand’s Easter treat is in an egg shape. “Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my all-time favorite candy, but the special holiday shapes are even better than the original,” says Managing Editor Shannon Phillips. “I love the higher peanut butter-to-chocolate ratio of the eggs.” Staffers like that the egg shape perfectly combines that sweet, nutty flavor with just enough milk chocolate to hold it together. “The classic Reese is hard to beat but [for] a peanut lover like me, the Easter egg brings me joy,” says Andy Liang, our Recipe Developer.
2. Cadbury Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs
British confectionary company Cadbury has made mini eggs for Easter for many years, and this year was no exception. “Cadbury Mini Eggs are synonymous with Easter for me,” says Commerce Editor Morgan Faulkner. “The Cadbury chocolate interior paired with the crunchy candy shell is just the perfect combination.” Creamier and milkier than traditional U.S. chocolate, we can see why it’s a standout year after year. Like Managing Editor Caroline Alkire said: ““There is NO EASTER CANDY better than Cadbury Mini Eggs.”
3. Peeps Easter Marshmallow Chicks
Another classic springtime treat, Peeps are one of the most beloved candies for Easter. “As a kid, my parents always knew this was my #1 ask for my Easter basket,” says Social Media Manager Marissa Scognamiglio. “I know PEEPS get a lot of hate, but the reality is, I still love them as a treat on Easter even as an adult.” Sure, these marshmallows aren’t the healthiest snack on the planet, but having a few of these once a year is more than reasonable.
4. Kit Kat Milk Chocolate Wafer Bunnies
How adorable are these little bunnies? Kiddos will love these cute little wafers in their Easter baskets — while you snack on a few of your own, too. “Kit Kats are actually my favorite candy, so whenever they have special holiday editions I can't wait to add to my cart,” says Lauren Tom Cerone, our Associate Commerce Editor. “There's something whimsical about a bunny in Kit Kat form, and of course I bite off the ears first!”
5. Lindt Milk Chocolate Gold Bunny
Premium Swiss chocolate company Lindt makes some of the best sweets all year round, but their gold bunnies are hard to pass by at the grocery store. “You can't go wrong with a classic chocolate bunny from one of the best chocolatiers,” Digital Editorial Intern Tara Siegel says. “These bunnies always make me nostalgic for when my mom would fill my Easter baskets with them every year.” Whether you give them as gifts or keep one for yourself, you can’t deny they look like a standout centerpiece while tasting delicious.
6. Sour Patch Kids Easter Bunnies
For Easter this year, popular candy brand Sour Patch Kids is bringing their own rendition of the Easter bunny in the form of their classic sweet and sour gummies. “Sour gummy candy is one of my favorites all year, and Easter is no exception,” says Commerce Editor Laura James. Enjoy this seasonal shape while they’re in stock for an elevated dessert experience. Plus, they’re sure to get snatched up quickly at any Easter parties.
