There's a surprise buried under the blizzard of crisp bacon, sharp cheddar and scallions in this party platter -- crispy, melty mozzarella sticks instead of your typical fries.
Cook the mozzarella sticks according to the package directions.
Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until brown and crispy, 7 to 8 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon to a paper towel-lined plate.
Sprinkle the mozzarella sticks with the cheese and continue to bake until the cheese is melted, an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a platter, sprinkle with the bacon and scallions and drizzle with the sour cream.
