This trip Guy's on the inside track to Kansas City barbeque. In an industrial neighborhood, an award winning pit master serving up the KC specialty, burnt ends. In a southern suburb, a classically trained chef putting his spin on smoked pork. Then just down the street, a joint where they're taking barbequed chicken to the deep fryer. And at an old wood yard, mixing up a one-of-a kind rub for baby back ribs.
Bobby is making grilled prime rib steaks, spice rubbed grilled Vidalia onions, and a stacked tomato salad that has slices of garrotxa cheese, topped with olive tapanade and a sweet basil dressing. Now that's a barbeque - Bobby Flay style.
When Bubba and the team are hired by TNT Amusements to build a custom Bubba-Q out of a real pinball machine, things get a little heated. The team must find a way to build a smoker that will cook the four phases of barbecue but still have some of the functions of a pinball machine. When a test puts them back to square one, the team must figure out a way to get this pinball barbecue finished in time for the big event.
